Hello everyone! My name is Faith Grover, I’m 17 years old, and I am a recent highschool graduate! I’m super excited to go on the World Race Gap Year and just wanted to let you know a little bit about why the World Race and how I got to this point!

Last summer I got the amazing opportunity to go down to Guatemala for two weeks and work with the OneWay ministry in San Lorenzo. My sister and I went down by ourselves and it was a great experience, one that I never expected would change my life the way it did. This had been my first mission trip and I was having a great time. I got to teach kids, play soccer, and be the hands and feet of Jesus. One night after a day of ministry, I felt God lay the World Race on my heart. I felt like this was my next step and I was ready to apply! However, once my senior year started, I got stuck in the cycle of daily life and thinking about colleges that I put the World Race on the backburner. I also had a lot of doubt in myself and that I wasn’t qualified to even go on this trip. Then in late April God really put it on my heart to apply, so I did! While I was waiting for an answer, I got super nervous because it was taking longer than I thought it would. I ended up getting a little discouraged and started questioning whether God was actually calling me to this trip. However, I got a call back saying I was accepted and I got reassurance in my heart that this was where he was leading me.

Overall, I’m super excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to see what God teaches me in this next season. I’m looking forward to being the hands and feet of Jesus and being able to bring people to his love. I’m also so excited to meet my squad mates and I’m SUPER excited for squad worship;) Anyway, that’s a little bit about me and feel free to subscribe for updates on my journey!
